Lewis Hamilton has outlined his childhood dreams, hinting that one of them remains within reach despite his career in Formula 1.

The Scuderia Ferrari driver, who spoke in a video shared by Formula 1 on Instagram, revealed how he harboured the ambition of becoming an astronaut, [Former F1 driver] Ayrton Senna, and Superman.

“I want to be either an astronaut, Ayrton [Senna], or Superman. So those are my three dreams as a kid," he said.

The seven-time world champion, further doubling down on his childhood ambitions, stated that the chance of becoming an astronaut could still be viable, revealing his previous interaction with an astronaut.

“There's still time to be an astronaut. I know an astronaut, and I've spoken to an astronaut on the space station through FaceTime, and he's floating in space, and I'm like, I don't believe it. I said, ‘Show me your colleague.’ So he turns the camera around, and his friend is just floating there on the laptop. It's cool, the coolest cool ever," he concluded.

While the dream of being Superman is not a viable one, Hamilton has since carved a path like his Formula 1 idol, Ayrton Senna.

Since his venture into the sport, the British driver has etched his name into the records as one of the greatest drivers to ever grace Formula 1. Hamilton boasts the joint-most drivers’ titles and the most race victories, among several other achievements, since his debut in the 2007 season.

Ferrari told to listen to Hamilton

Juan Pablo Montoya has revealed that the Ferrari outfit could become unstoppable if it heeds Hamilton’s comments.

The Colombian, in his recent assessment of the situation at the Maranello-based team, stated how the former Mercedes driver has a lot to prove and would not lie down and submit to defeat.

Montoya concluded by stating that he believes Hamilton feels he is putting in a lot of effort, but the Ferrari team is yet to match the driver’s intensity.
