In principle, Aston Martin will take part in the pre-season test in Barcelona, but on fewer days than the other teams. The Silverstone-based outfit confirmed to GPblog that the plan is to run for two days.
The statement reads: "The AMR26 will be in Barcelona later this week for testing. We plan to run on Thursday and Friday."
Only two days of testing proves there was a problem; otherwise, the team would have participated on a third day. What that problem might be is currently unknown.
For a while, there were rumours that Aston Martin might not participate at all in the test, which started today. Adrian Newey's team is preventing this scenario from happening, while Williams is forced to miss out on the entire event in Barcelona.
