Oliver Oakes has stepped down as team boss of Alpine. The French racing team announced this on Tuesday evening. Flavio Briatore will take over his duties.
"BWT Alpine Formula One Team announces that Oliver Oakes has resigned from his role as Team Principal. The team has accepted his resignation with immediate effect," reads the Alpine press release.

Who will then step up as Alpines team principal. An old familiar face, who is no stranger to fighting for titles with the Renault owned F1 team.
"As of today Flavio Briatore will continue as Executive Advisor and will also be covering the duties previously performed by Oliver Oakes."
"The team would like to thank Oliver for his efforts since he joined last summer and for his contribution in helping the team secure sixth place in the 2024 Constructors' Championship".
This may not be the only key personnel change to take place within the Alpine structure as Alpine are currently evaluating Jack Doohan's performance and he may indeed be replaced ahead of Imola.
