Fransceco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia began his Moto3 career with FTR Honda before moving over to the VR46 Sky Racing Team in 2014. He then competed for Mahindra where he finished fourth in the 2016 Moto3 standings.

His performances earned him a promotion to Moto2 where he raced for the VR46 Sky Racing Team again and won the championship in his second year in the category.

He joined the MotoGP ranks in 2019 at Ducati’s satellite team, Pramac, where earned his first premier class podium, before he was promoted to the factory team in 2021.

Bagnaia fought a close battle with Fabio Quartararo throughout the 2021 season, but ultimately came up short and finished as runner-up in the standings.

The following year in 2022, Bagnaia won the title ahead of Quartararo and Bastianini, before retaining it again the following year in 2023.

The 2024 season with another strong one for Baganaia who managed to achieve a total of 11 race victories throughout the year. However, it was not enough to prevent Jorge Martin from claiming the 2024 crown.

The 2025 season was one to forget for Bagnaia, who claimed just two race victories and fifth place in the championship standings while his Ducati teammate Marc Marquez dominated the season as a whole.

For most of his career, Bagnaia’s name has been synonymous with Ducati red. In 2022, he became the first Ducati rider to win the MotoGP rider’s championship with Ducati since Casey Stoner in 2007.

His 25 premier class victories make him the most successful Ducati rider in the team’s history.
