Adami under fire

Dutch F1 analyst Robert Doornbos has sounded the alarm over the apparent lack of chemistry between Lewis Hamilton and his Ferrari race engineer, Riccardo Adami, following their miscommunication during the Mexican Grand Prix.

Reviewing the radio exchanges that followed Hamilton’s clash with Max Verstappen, which earned him a 10-second penalty, Doornbos noted that the pair “don’t sound in sync.”

He described their tone as detached, with Adami relaying penalties and Hamilton responding with exasperation, highlighting a breakdown in rhythm and trust.

“They’re just not switched on to each other,” Doornbos said, stressing that such disconnection can cost a team valuable performance under pressure. In a season where precision defines success, he warned, Ferrari can’t afford a fractured dialogue between driver and pit wall.

The bold call paid off. Charging through the field, he crossed the line in third, enough to secure the championship. Remarkably, Larson became the first driver to win the title under the current format without leading a single lap, proving that consistency, timing, and nerve can outweigh raw dominance.
