Stewards seem to contradict themselves in their verdict for Verstappen

At Red Bull Racing they were convinced they could prove with data that Max Verstappen would not receive a penalty for the braking incident with Lewis Hamilton in Saudi Arabia, but late Sunday night the stewards decided otherwise. Here's why Verstappen is deemed guilty after all.
The stewards say they have reviewed footage and telemetry data and that based on that, it can be judged that Verstappen was clearly the one at fault.
"At turn 21 the driver of car 33 was given the instruction to give back a position to car 44 and was told by the team to do so “strategically”. Car 33 slowed significantly at turn 26. However, it was obvious that neither driver wanted to take the lead prior to DRS detection line 3", reads the statement.
Stewards contradict each other?
However, the stewards state that Hamilton did not know Verstappen was going to give him back his position, while they do understand that Hamilton did not want to go over the DRS checkpoint first. This seems to be contradictory.
"The driver of Car 33 stated that he was wondering why Car 44 had not overtaken and the driver of Car 44 stated that, not having been aware at that stage that Car 33 was giving the position back, was unaware of the reason Car 33 was slowing. In deciding to penalise the driver of Car 33, the key point for the Stewards was that the driver of Car 33 then braked suddenly (69 bar) and significantly, resulting in 2.4g deceleration."
Verstappen presses the brakes too hard
However, Verstappen's sudden braking was seen as irregular by the stewards and is therefore identified as the main cause of the collision. Red Bull Racing can of course appeal the stewards' decision. Whether they will do so is unknown.

There's nothing irregular about Max's deceleration and braking. The telemetry shows Lulu on and off the throttle as he's approaching Max's gearbox. I don't know why he wouldn't just stick to the racing line and blow past Max but he went out of his way to drive up to Max's gearbox then crashed into him.
Verstappen will end up either killing himself or someone else is this continues to happen. All those against his driving style are baying for blood to be spilled.
There is a difference between driving competitively and driving dangerously. It is merely a matter of time before verstappen causes a major pileup on the track, or gets someone killed.

Drivers (LH and MV and others) at other side are not helping the FIA with their tactics to out smart one another.

The FIA would actually prefer a new champion. It will help bring back people to the sport to have someone new as the champ. They know that. It's good for F1's image to have a 7 times champ beaten.

I'm still perplexed. MV slows down to allow LH past as instructed. LH- (despite just complaining that the MV kept his position after going off track)- declines to pass (possibly for his own strategic reason), why does MV have to slow again? How many times does the driver in front have to add chunks onto their lap times until the driver behind gets the message? Interesting precedent.
Both teams knew, both teams have communication to their drivers. If Merc didn't tell Lulu in time, the moment's passed. Bad luck. Keep racing.

This what you'll get if you slam on the brakes:-
In the average car or truck, about 1 G
In a decent sports car, about 1.3 G
In a race car without a lot of downforce, about 1.5 - 1.8 G
Max braked with a measured 2.4G (F1's can hit 5G maximum braking.
Why would you do that with your title rival right behind you?
Max had already slowed down enough and was in 3rd gear but then chose to hit the brakes. Why? Why risk that unless you had nothing to lose? Lewis would come off worse in that circumstance and Max knew it.
Even the team said do it 'strategically' which meant before the DRS (something Horner then had the gall to accuse Hamilton of - playing with the DRS zone). Yet it was Max all along doing that and Lewis was aware of it.
All things considered Max got off with it as the penalty wasn't a penalty. It had no effect.
That is only your perspective but I'll prove you wrong. Why is lewis behind max when max is offline. Lewis has the entire racing line n could have blasted through. All drivers race online....You dont get the truth but hulkenberg nailed it. Lewis wanted drs overtake n messed up.

Max wanted the DRS you twonk. That's why the team radioed him to do it 'strategically'.
Max wanted to have Lewis pass before the DRS line so HE could get the DRS to re-pass Lewis.

Today's race sucked stewards ruined it
This weekend:
Lewis ignored yellows, had incidents with Gasly and Mazepin (100% grid penalty), cheated behind safety car leaving half a lap to double stack and in formation lap leaving 25 car lengths to overheat Max' car, then pushed Max off in lap 27 and finally drove in the back of Max' car after Max was slowing down to let him pass for 4 secs! But yeah...nothing to see here! ?
he didnt ignore yellows, he didnt see them because they were active for 1 second. race control confirmed it was erroneous and because it was only up for 1 second, there's nothing lewis could have done anyways.
as for leaving room behind the safety car, that was not a yellow flag lap so he didnt need to be within 10 car lengths. you're confusing it with a yellow flag where you have to be within 10 car lengths for the rolling start. it was a formation lap so you don't have to be that close.
he didnt push max off on lap 27, max chose to go around the outside when he entered the turn behind hamilton. that max ended up off track was always going to be the result regardless of whom he was trying to pass, there was no room there. max has done way worse when he pushes people off track when he's not even ahead of them.
as for the incident, i know everyone says max was letting him pass, but you're all forgetting that just because max is letting him pass doesnt mean lewis actually has to pass him. he can choose to stay behind him if he wants, which is what he did. the only issue is the contact. i dont have the telemetry data but if it's as the stewards (who have seen the data) are saying, then max suddenly braked hard knowing hamilton was right behind him and wouldnt have been expecting it. which is why they said max is predominantly to blame for the incident. he basically brake checked him then sped up and drove away.

honestly at this point, its obvious what is happening, if max did have a 1.5 second lead, the reason it came down to 2 tenths before lewis rammed into max was that he was slowing down significantly, and stayed at the same speed, but lewis slowed down as well for quite a few seconds, then immediately accelerated and went into verstappen
verstappen was voted driver of the day despite the result not being too impressive, shows what is really happening here, its obvious, all the fans know it, the steewards know it
at this point the stewards should just explain one by one why the bias hamilton, at least its being honest

He will have got those votes solely based on 2 overtaking moves that he actually did cleanly. Otherwise the driver of the day should maybe have been Ocon - or even Hamilton for surviving all of Max's dirty tricks.
