Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix 2025

It was on this track that Ayrton Senna defied all expectations and won his home race in 1991. Who can win a race with a broken gearbox and almost ten laps to go? He did, and that's not the only bizarre thing that has happened on the São Paulo circuit.
What about 2008, when Felipe Massa narrowly missed out on the title? "Is that Glock?" Yes, indeed, that was Timo Glock, who was passed by Lewis Hamilton just before the finish line, allowing the Brit to secure enough points to win the title. The celebration already taking place in Ferrari's garage quickly turned to anger and tears. The Brazilian Grand Prix is always a race where emotions run high.

Watching the Brazilian GP on F1TV and Sky Sports

In 2025, Formula 1 will once again be broadcast in the UK by Sky Sports. All F1 sessions across the weekend will be available on their broadcasting channel, with live commentary by David Croft and ex-F1 driver Martin Brundle. Sky Sports will also provide pre- and post-race coverage of qualifying and the Grand Prix.
Another option to watch Formula 1 live is through F1TV Pro, the official streaming service of Formula 1. F1TV Pro broadcasts all the sessions from the Brazilian GP live, and viewers have the ability to choose their preferred commentators as well.

GP Brazil results 2024

In 2024, Lando Norris took Pole Position whilst his championship rival Max Verstappen qualified in twelfth. Due to a penalty for engine components, the Dutchman was demoted even further, down to seventeenth place. Due to his abilities in rainy weather, however, the Red Bull driver sliced through the field and sat comfortably in sixth place in Lap 12.
During the race, various incidents caused Safety Car situations, such as a spin for Hulkenberg and a heavy crash for Colapinto. These interruptions influenced team strategies massively. After a Red Flag due to undriveable circumstances on track, Verstappen took the lead and built a 19 second win margin to the field. Surprisingly, the Alpine team benefitted from the circumstances and bagged a double podium finish.

Lewis Hamilton in the Brazilian GP

Hamilton won this event on his tenth attempt in 2016 for the first time, since his debut in 2007 the Brit claimed seven podiums including three victories around the Interlagos track. The seven-time world champion often lost out in battles with Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, or Max Verstappen at the Brazilian GP.
One of his most memorable races at the venue, however, was the 2021 edition. In a Sprint weekend, the Mercedes driver started last in the Sprint Race before climbing up to fifth. A penalty, however, set him back to a tenth starting place in the Grand Prix. It did not matter, as he dominantly charged to victory, beating Max Verstappen to the line. This result kept his title hopes alive.
