Esteban Ocon has the ultimate ambition to become world champion in Formula 1, but he has more dreams. The driver of Haas F1 aspires to make more films in the future.

For most Formula 1 drivers, a cameo in the hit film 'F1: The Movie' was their first experience in the film industry - although they probably barely noticed the making of it. This is certainly not the case for Esteban Ocon, with a role in the acclaimed French film Lune de miel avec ma mère.

The Frenchman hopes to further his career in the industry in the future, though it is unclear how and where. “There is no concrete plan yet," Ocon tells in an exclusive interview with GPblog.

This is the film Ocon would like to make

The driver for Haas F1 has ideas in mind in terms of what he would like to do. "It's clear that the next movie I want to do, I want to be part of a stunt driving, action type movie. And I got a good friend called Alban Lenoir who does that quite a lot. He's done ‘Lost Bullet’ and ‘AKA’, two very big action movies, very successful in this world."

"He often calls me a to say, ‘yes, we'll do that, when do we do this?’ I just need to find the time, but this is what I would like to do for the next one. So yes, my first appearance won't be the last one. That's for sure."

However, the focus will remain on his F1 career in the coming years. If he does not have to race, in his spare time, who knows what is possible. "Yes, for sure. But to do like some stunts, to feature in a short scene where I drive cars, or I do stunts with a car, or something like that would happen, that is doable with my level [of acting]."

"To do a full movie like my friend Cyril Gane (UFC fighter, ed.) did, that requires a lot more time, a lot more effort, and learning more acting. But I believe I will not be too far [from that level]. I mean, I need to try it first. But this is something I enjoy doing."
