How Russell is preparing for the Dutch GP after being spotted in Sardinia

George Russell’s summer vacation is over, as the Mercedes driver announced via his Instagram account. The Brit was recently, just like Max Verstappen, Toto Wolff and Kimi Antonelli, in Sardinia. It is now time for Russell to focus all his attention back on Formula 1.

Russell shared photos of his workouts. He was doing a treadmill run. Along with it, he wrote: "Holiday's over, back on the grind !" You can view the photos below.

While Russell has already fully thrown himself into the preparations for the continuation of the F1 season, this is not yet the case for Verstappen. The reigning world champion shared photos on Monday afternoon from his vacation with Kelly Piquet.

Russell was in Sardinia just like Verstappen

Russell's summer holiday took place in Sardinia among other locations. Verstappen was also there during his summer vacation, but it is not known whether the two came across each other.

However, the Dutchman was visiting Russell's team boss, Toto Wolff. It was previously reported that the Red Bull driver was not alone with the Mercedes executive.

Russell was with his partner during his holiday on the Italian island. His teammate Antonelli was also there during his vacation. The 18-year-old Italian actually shared videos of a big party, where he was on stage next to the DJ.

Next F1 race at Zandvoort

The Zandvoort Grand Prix is fast approaching, with the summer break already more than halfway over. This was enough for Russell to turn his attention back to Formula 1, effectively ending his summer vacation. The sessions at the dune-lined circuit will take place from August 29 to 31.
