During the Monaco Grand Prix, Max Verstappen also completed some extra laps in a Ford Mustang Dark Horse. While doing so, the Dutchman also talked about what's fatherhood been like since the birth of his first child.
Verstappen became a father ahead of the Miami GP, when Lily was born. In a video on The Inside Track YouTube channel, he talked about his experience so far.
"Luckily, not too hectic," Verstappen began. "I think anyway as a dad in the beginning, they're so attached to the mom, you're more like a passenger, and you're just making sure everyone is doing well and there's not too much chaos."
When asked about whether becoming a father has changed him on and off the track, the defending world champion said: "No, I don't think you should change a driver to be honest. Once I get to the track, I know what I have to do and I know what needs to be done. So I'm very focused on that. But it's just nice that when you go home, there's a little girl just there."
After the conversation, the Dutchman got to drive the Ford Mustang on the Monte-Carlo track. "Honestly, this is like the most fun hot laps to do in Monaco. It's great. Also for me, because you never get to drive very fast here with a road car, so it's perfect."
