What happened so far in Canada?

It's Sunday, which means only the Grand Prix is left to be completed at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.
FP3 already promised a great a great qualifying session, and it did not disappoint. During Q3, there were three different drivers on pole position, but in the end, it was Russell who had the last laugh and will start from P1 on the grid. Max Verstappen finished in second place, while championship leader rounded off the Top 3.
That also means that after their incident at the Spanish Grand Prix, Russell and Verstappen will share the first row of the grid in Montreal.
After that aforementioned incident, Verstappen also received three penalty points on his super license, meaning that he is one point away from getting a suspension. Looking ahead to the Turn 1 battle, the Mercedes driver explained he expects his rival to prove a point.
On the other hand, after topping FP3, Lando Norris had a disappointing session. The McLaren driver finished only in P7. Here is how the championship number two reacted to his session.

Changes to the grid set in qualifying

Two drivers have already received grid penalties for the Canadian Grand Prix. Already before Qualifying, Yuki Tsunoda received a ten-place grid penalty for a red flag infringement in FP3.
Tsunoda overtook a slow Piastri in the final practice session, who had a damaged car with a puncture, however, he was penalised by the stewards. Together with that, he received two penalty points as well. After he got eliminated in Q2, he will have to start from last place on the grid.
Racing Bulls driver Isack Hadjar also received a three-place grid penalty for impeding Carlos Sainz in Q1.
