A former Ferrari race engineer, Rob Smedley, noted on the F1 Nations podcast that Lewis Hamilton is struggling with the SF-25. He suggested that this was incompatible with Hamilton's driving style and that Hamilton is 'unhappy' with his performance.
Bottas had the opportunity to operate a Formula 1 vehicle during a THC (Testing of Historic Car) event. The car he drove was a W11 from the 2020 Formula 1 season at the Paul Ricard Circuit.
The W11 has been known as one of the more powerful cars in Formula 1's history due to the amount of wins (13) and pole positions (15) Mercedes achieved with it.
