The Miami GP takes place on the street circuit that goes by the name of Miami International Autodrome. This track is one of three US based circuits on the Formula 1 calendar, other US tracks are the Circuit of the Americas in Cota and the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.

This racetrack, that loops around the Hard Rock Stadium, uses a combination of newly created and existing roads. A couple of weeks before the event takes place, the area is prepared for F1. As soon as the race weekend has concluded, the area around the stadium is restored for normal use.

Een aantal weken voor de start van het raceweekend maken de organisatoren het circuit klaar, terwijl na het raceweekend het terrein wordt afgebouwd.

De omloop is 5,410 kilometer lang en telt negentien bochten. Apex Circuit Design heeft het circuit ontworpen, waarbij de coureurs vooral in de eerste sector te maken krijgen met veel bochten. Tussen bocht zestien en zeventien ligt een lang recht stuk. De rijders kunnen hierbij gebruikmaken van hun motorvermogen.

The racetrack features nineteen corners and covers a distance of 5.410 kilometers. Apex Circuit Design created the track’s layout, consisting of a twisty first sector. Between turns 16 and 17 the drivers will push flat out on the long back straight, maximising the engine’s performance.

Hamilton partook in all three Miami Grands Prix, and finished in sixth place in each of them. Since the new regulations that were introduced in 2022, his Mercedes team has not been able to fight at the forefront of the field consistently.
