The opening round of the 2026 MotoGP season is set to kick off this weekend as the teams take to the Chang International Circuit in Buriram to battle for the first points of the year.

The sprint race takes place on Saturday at 09:00am CET (08:00am GMT) while the main race will also be at 09:00am CET (08:00am GMT) on Sunday.

Ducati star set to miss opening round of the MotoGP season in Thailand

Gresini Ducati's promising young talent Fermin Aldeguer is set to remain sidelined for the opening round of the season in Thailand later this month after suffering a training injury.

The Murcian, who took his first MotoGP victory during his rookie season last year at the challenging Mandalika circuit in Indonesia, broke his femur in a rather serious training accident, but has been in positive spirits as he begins his journey to recovery.
