GPblog understands that Alpine is currently evaluating Jack Doohan's position. Rumours have it that the Australian from the French team has driven his last race in Formula 1 this season, but that is premature. No decision has been made about the driver's future.
One driver who could replace Jack Doohan is Franco Colapinto. The Argentinian already has some experience in Formula 1 because last season, after replacing Logan Sargeant, he drove nine races for the Williams team.

Could Doohan be replaced?

A possible replacement for Doohan would not come entirely out of the blue, as he was already under pressure before the season started. Doohan had never driven in Formula 1 before he was given a seat, while Colapinto had. It also helps that the Argentinian is popular in South America and brings a lot of sponsorship money.
Six races have been held in Formula 1 this season, but Doohan has not yet managed to score any points with Alpine. Teammate Pierre Gasly has already managed to score six. Alpine also has a large group of reserve drivers. In addition to Colapinto, Kush Maini and Paul Aron are still with Alpine.
