Lewis Hamilton had a tough day with a lot of overtaking to do. The Briton was the only one who stayed out on the intermediates during the restart and was the very last one to return to the track. After a lot of overtaking he still ended up on the podium. A third place was the end result.
"First of all congratulations to Alpine and Ocon! I'm very happy for him. Great to see Aston Martin up there from the front as well," said Hamilton, stoically thanking the fans in attendance. "There was a great crowd again this weekend, thank you all for being there."
Mercedes commits blunder
The new world championship leader continued, "Today was definitely tough. We always make it difficult for ourselves. We were the only ones on the grid at the restart, we have to learn from that. I gave everything and I had nothing left at the end."
Where exactly did things go wrong for Hamilton and Mercedes? "I told the team what the tarmac was like, but they said rain was coming and then I saw everyone diving in, but oh well," the Briton concludes.

With Ham, regardless whether he race with 3 tyre, starts from behind winning with a slower car, he will never be the Driver of day or acknowledged for his efforts because the prejudice is also festering in the F1 community.Win another podium and it will be all against one and that will surely endorsed him as the greatest driver in history against all odds.
The only reason people boo Lewis because he is on top and need to be down.. because if he is down then those boo thing will never happen
He got boo'd because the last two races weren't won fair and square!
And again Hamilton very very lucky with maybe 2nd place and a team mate who took out a few cars included Verstappen ...again we miss the duels between them .Still believe Ham won't be wc for the 8th time .He will buckle and already showed when he lost a few races
that's a bit of a misleading headline. surprised anyone? there was mostly cheering from the fans except for the coterie of dutch in the main grandstand. you could see it had an affect on hamilton. regardless of which driver it is, that's a touch classless. let's hope it stops. not that johnny would do it, but it would be nice to see the m.c. step up and chastise that kind of behaviour.
It was tough because the team made him work hard twice for the same pay an easy win was instore but toto wolf being a sport because a Merc k ocked out 2 redbull decided to level playing field by moving Lewis to the back of the field just to show the grid how good Lewis is and he would have won except for Alonzo dirty racing but I'm sure Lewis will give him his dose as well !!
Lewis Hamilton rises above all pettiness and remains humble no matter what. I’m glad he is now leading this championship, he has earned and is gonna break records even further. Super proud of this young man
I'm not a fan of Hamilton let me be very fair about this. If I have to be fair I like Red Bull a lot but I also love to see some of the underdogs in the field. Esteban did a great job today together with Alonso. And everyone can boo as much as they want at Hamilton, he was last on the grid after his change from Intermediates to Slicks and ended up 3rd. You don't only get there by having a fast car. You get there by being a good racer.
The biggest idiot on track, second race in a row they destroyed the race, but it is Mercedes, Fia and Toto are 2

Fans could hear Hamilton complain again, e.g. about Alsonso. He's just a nasty sportsman.

You have to remember there's a lot of high speed adrenaline flowing. Yeah Lewis should have just got on with it but he always says what he thinks whether it's good or bad. It's called being human.
He's not trying to be nasty, him and Alonso are all good and have a high respect for each other.
And he's not the only F1 driver to say such things over the radio so are they all nasty sportsmen?

He is a cult that refused to go the court of arbitration to win the 2007 world championship after it wasdisxoverd that Kimi Raikkonen team was cheating all season using illegal fuel in their car he instead said the prefers to win it on the track what a cult leader !!!
Don't know for people who seem to support a guy who never won a single championship like he is a goat and defend his crappy attitude. Celebrate his bullying on the track to call others brainwashed is wierd to me . Could be that some people don't mind celebrating people who win . No one calls him anything but the greatest based on numbers . Say what u want unfortunately he is a winning driver .

All the booing in the world can't hold the champion back. An exceptional drive from him today. His mental strength is like none other and he was rewarded with being top of the WDC for it. Bring on the boos! It only fuels the man.
Yep, Lewis feeds off it. He's had abuse since he was a kid mainly because of his colour back then and even later on and now again in the last two weeks.
