
Lando Norris pipped Max Verstappen by just +0.008 during FP1 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, while the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc rounded out the top three.
Norris, Verstappen and Oscar Piastri all go into the 2025 season finale with a chance to win the World Championship, with the latter missing out on the first session of the weekend as rookie Pato O'Ward took the Australian's seat.
Norris and Verstappen are separated by just 12 points in the title race heading into the final Grand Prix of 2025, and on track, only the finest of margins separate the two drivers in FP1.

The McLaren man set a 1.24.485, with the Dutchman just +0.008 off the pace, setting up a grandstand finale on Sunday, while Leclerc was only +0.016 off Norris' P1 time as he finished third at the end of the session.
Kimi Antonelli took P4, while an impressive FP1 from sauber saw Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto take P5 anc P7, respectively, split by the other Mercedes of George Russell.
Ollie Bearman ended in P8 before he was forced to retire due to a sensor issue, while Carlos Sainz and Franco Colapinto rounded out the top ten. Ryo Hirakawa in the other Haas was the best rookie in P11.
