It seems almost unreal, but Romain Grosjean made his first metres with his new IndyCar team on Tuesday. The start was not smooth, as the Frenchman was soon stuck in the gravel trap. Fortunately, the Dale Coyne Racing team was able to repair his car and he was soon back on the track.
Esteban Ocon got behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car for the first time on Monday, during a test at Paul Ricard. The old R.S.18 was used for the test, but dressed in the new Alpine colours. Ocon was happy with his test kilometres and can't wait for the start of the season.
The C41, Alfa Romeo's new car, will be presented on Monday. However, part of the car can already be seen in a video posted on Twitter by an employee of Orlen, a sponsor of the team:
The suits in which Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will be gracing the grid come march will be revealed by Red Bull Racing tomorrow. On Twitter, the Milton Keynes-based team gives a sneak preview of the photo, which they will publish in full tomorrow. Keep your eyes open!
The Alfa Romeo livery will be announced on Monday 22 February and once again the Italian carmaker's team has posted a teaser on social media. The Italians will unveil the car on Monday via Youtube, Facebook and Twitter, with which Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi will compete.
It might be weekend, but for Max Verstappen that doesn't mean he is going to hang out on the couch. On Instagram he shared a video in which he runs a lap near his home in Monaco.
AlphaTauri has once again hinted at their car presentation on Friday and now a time has been revealed when the car will be presented. The new AlphaTauri will be presented at 9am CET. A big show like last year seems not to be expected.
Nikita Mazepin has had his first day at Haas. The Russian came to the American factory to try on his seat and meet the engineers. Mazepin is now looking forward to the start of the season, where he will make his F1 debut.
Red Bull Racing is one of the teams that have yet to announce when the new 2021 car will be presented to the world. The new RB16B of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez does seem to be getting a launch date soon though, as Red Bull are now hinting at it on Twitter.
For Kevin Magnussen, the world cannot go wrong for the time being. In January, his daughter Laura was born and on Wednesday morning, he posted an update about her. Laura was born seven weeks premature, but fortunately, everything goes well with her. It is therefore understandable that Magnussen is over the moon.
