Tomorrow marks the first day of racing on the Monaco circuit for the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix session. However, on Thursday, the drivers were around the paddock for the media day. Here are the three biggest stories from today.

Leclerc speaks about online abuse

During the Thursday press conference both Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly the two spoke about the current increase in online abuse after Franco Colapinto's crash.
The situation arose after an edited picture make it way around the internet. The edited picture made it seem as if Mick Doohan, Jack Doohan's father, had made fun of Colapinto after his crash.
Leclerc said, "I wasn't aware of all the details of the situation, but I think as a global picture, that's never something you want to see. I think there's a lot of respect and I've grown up with F1 as a target and looking at it, thinking that it was incredible to see so many different fans from different teams, but having a lot of respect and I think that's what I want to see going forward all the time no matter what the situation is."

Brown is willing to sacrifice the championship

Zak Brown has gone on the record saying that he would be willing to lose the World Drivers' championship to Max Verstappen in order to keep things fair between his two drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. He said, “The best way to win the Constructors’ is to finish first and second in the Drivers’, and that’s what we’re trying to do."
"Then, the way to let the drivers decide who’s first and second is by treating them fully, fairly, transparently," Brown said to PlanetF1.

Verstappen hopes Tsunoda can improve

Max Verstappen admitted that he hopes both Red Bull cars can start placing first and second soon. Tsunoda has been in the econd Red Bull seat for five races now. While he is not in the bottom, he also isn't at the top where Verstappen is.
Verstappen said, "Naturally as a team, I mean, we want to finish one-two every single weekend, but that's, at the moment, tough. We have very strong competition. McIaren is doing a great job. So yeah, we just keep working, keep trying to improve for myself, for Yuki, naturally. And then, yes, we'll see in the coming races what we can do."
