Max Verstappen failed to secure better than ninth in the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Dutch driver complained about a lack of grip all weekend. An incident occurred during the race with Lewis Hamilton. Former Red Bull mechanic, Calum Nicholas, commented on X about the race management.

Verstappen was driving on fresher tires than Hamilton and had noticeably more grip than the Brit. After coming out of the slipstream, he tried to overtake Hamilton on turn four. The two did not collide, but Hamilton swerved and went off the track, so Verstappen passed him. Nicholas reacted to the incident: "Are the stewards about to make a penalty again?! "

"Scaring another driver off the track. Just let them race, they're all grown ups ffs."

In the comments on the tweet, an X user accused only Verstappen's fans of defending such an action. Nicholas responded: "Or anyone who watches ANY racing series outside of F1..."

Verstappen eventually did not receive a penalty

In the end, Max Verstappen avoided a penalty for the incident with Hamilton. You can read the full explanation from FIA on why Verstappen did not get a penalty in this article.
