Verstappen took a dominant victory in the Las Vegas Grand Prix to keep his title hopes alive.
With P2 finisher Lando Norris disqualified, George Russell is promoted to P2 with teammate Kimi Antonelli rounding off a double Mercedes podium in P3.
The reigning world champion took the lead at the start despite an aggressive defence from pole-sitter Lando Norris at the start.
Norris ran wide at the first turn, which let Verstappen through as George Russell also took advantage.
The McLaren driver then repassed his compatriot later in the race and went on to finish second before his disqualification.

The trio had a significant margin over the rest of the field as they had good pace over the 50 laps.
Before being disqualified, Oscar Piastri originally finished P4 ahead of Kimi Antonelli who recovered from P17 on the grid.
Charles Leclerc salvaged a fourth place for Ferrari as the Monegasque took the chequered flag ahead of Carlos Sainz.
Racing Bulls driver Isack Hadjar scored points with a sixth place finish, while Nico Hulkenberg and Lewis Hamilton finished in P7 and P8.
Haas pair Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman round out the top ten to secure points for the American team.
