To say that Ferrari's 2025 F1 seaon so far has been underwhelming would be the understatement of the year. Lewis Hamilton reacts to his Q2 elimination in Miami and reveals he'll resort to praying ahead of the F1 race in Miami on Sunday.
A difficult session, qualifying was, Hamilton agrees. "Yeah, it was a difficult session, mixed emotions, [in the sprint we scored a] good, decent result. But it was not pure pace, it was a good call in the strategy, but in pure pace, we didn't have it," Hamilton says to media after the qualifying session.

Hamilton will resort to praying ahead of the race in Miami

"I was like one of the first here this morning to make sure we took the right steps through the day and didn't make any difference."
Conditions for the race may again play a role as they did in the Sprint race on Saturday Monday, and Hamilton finds himself wanting to pray for the perfect scenario for himself and Ferrari.
"The car was not good in the wet this morning. So I don't know if it will be tomorrow either. We'll see. I'll do a lot of praying tonight, of course. I mean, [if] there's opportunity, if it started dry and then went wet or something like that, it could be kind of neat."
"But you've got to be lucky as well. I need to know the team are on it with strategy because, you know, that call was my call," added the Briton referring to the call to change tyres which ended up giving him P3 during the Sprint race.

Hamilton puts the pressure on Ferrari

"We are where we are. We need some upgrades. We need some improvements. We've got lots of things that need to be better," Hamilton said, urging the team led by Frederic Vasseur to find the pace Ferrari currently lacks to fight for the top prizes in F1.
