Charles Leclerc has recently been warned against getting too comfortable at the Scuderia Ferrari outfit by Damon Hill. The words of the 1996 Formula 1 champion came after the Monegasque driver rebuffed conversations about a possible exit from the Italian outfit.

Hill, who is never shy to air his thoughts about current happenings on the Formula 1 grid, detailed how Leclerc’s aim to continue for the foreseeable future at Ferrari could make him more complacent.

The 64-year-old, who spoke with The Guardian about the Monegasque, stated:“Charles Leclerc is super-talented, super-quick, but he’s maybe too comfortable in the Ferrari.”

Hill’s comments come on the back of Leclerc reiterating his goal of seeing out his F1 career with the Ferrari team. The former Alfa Romeo driver, a graduate of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy, has raced for the Maranello outfit since the 2019 season. Leclerc has so far claimed eight Grand Prix victories with the team. However, his 2025 campaign has offered little promise of him adding to these numbers so far.

Charles Leclerc makes a statement on his Ferrari future

Charles Leclerc also detailed his desire to continue at the Scuderia Ferrari outfit. The Ferrari driver not only stressed his commitment, but also his wish to see out his Formula 1 career driving for the Prancing Horse.

Sharing his thoughts via The Times, he stated: “My contract is still very much there for quite a few years. I have always said how much I love this team, and at the moment my only obsession is to try and bring Ferrari back to the top. That’s with Fred and Lewis.”

“At the moment I don’t see myself anywhere else other than Ferrari. It is very possible that this would be the case for me [to end my career here].”
