Lewis Hamilton has reacted to the passion of the relentless Tifosi following his debut Italian Grand Prix with Scuderia Ferrari.

The British driver detailed how amazing it was to witness the sea of fans cheering for the Maranello-based outfit. Hamilton, who spoke to GPblog during the Italian Grand Prix weekend, also highlighted how incredible it is to see the love for Formula 1.

“It's been incredible. It's been amazing. I don't really know what other word I can really find for it. Showing up already from Wednesday at the factory, to then driving from there to Milan and seeing so many people just on the Wednesday event that we have, and then coming to the weekend, they're just everywhere.”

“They're hiding behind trees, you go down through this park that they're just, I don't know, there are so many of them, and you go out, come out with you see it when you leave the track they're on both sides all the way as far as you can go basically."

"It's pretty incredible to see the love that people in this country have for this sport. There's nothing else like it.”

While the Tifosi indeed turn up in their numbers to cheer the Scuderia Ferrari outfit, the Grand Prix in Monza didn’t particularly go according to plan as many would have envisaged. Both drivers – Hamilton and Charles Leclerc – failed to finish on the podium.

The pair were also largely off the pace of race winner Max Verstappen, whom Toto Wolff humourosly admitted made the rest of the grid look stupid.

Lewis Hamilton names only regret from Monza outing

Earlier, Lewis Hamilton identified his only regret from his outing at the Italian Grand Prix. The former Mercedes driver highlighted a strategy move which could have played out to his advantage.

Hamilton, who started the race in 10th –due to a five-place grid penalty – would finish his Grand Prix in sixth place. The result, however, was his best outing for the Italian outfit since his home race at the British Grand Prix, where he finished in fourth position.
