Lewis Hamilton has recently opened up about his overall experience with the Scuderia Ferrari team so far. The British driver detailed that his experience has largely been a far departure from what he had envisaged before joining the Italian outfit.

Hamilton, who appears to still scarcely believe he is a Ferrari driver, detailed how intense the work with the Marenello outfit has been since joining ahead of the 2025 campaign. Sharing his thoughts with French outlet RTBF, the seven-time world champion stated:

“It’s not at all what I expected. It’s more intense in so many areas. I didn’t expect it. I didn’t think the team at the factory would be so impressive. I was expecting energy, but now it’s even more intense than I imagined.”

The former Mercedes driver also touched on the sense of belonging to the Scuderia Ferrari outfit. Hamilton detailed the sense of pride that comes with racing for the Prancing Horse team, stressing how meaningful the experience has been so far.

“There is a huge sense of pride within this team. During a shoot last week, I had a big smile on my face the whole time. I love being in red! I look at the patch and I’m like, ‘Wow!’ It’s Ferrari, I can’t believe it. I still have to pinch myself, I say to myself, ‘I’m driving for Ferrari’. It’s phenomenal.”
