With the season now wrapped up and the festive period just around the corner, drivers can finally afford themselves a brief moment of indulgence and ease up on their diets — though not too much, and not for long, with the 2026 campaign set to get officially underway in just over a month’s time with pre-season testing in Barcelona.

With Christmas just around the corner, the seven-time world champion, was asked to reveal what his ideal Christmas dinner looks like: “My step-mom makes the best, like, crispy potatoes and gravy — it’s basically a Sunday roast, just mostly with vegetables.

“Then there’s a good dessert, like a proper cheesecake or a carrot cake. Afterwards, lots of candy, lots of sweets. I love eating all of that on Christmas Day.”

Leclerc bolsters Hamilton's rise post F1 2025 Ferrari debacle

Among the drivers who welcomed the end of the season — and the arrival of the winter break — more than most was Lewis Hamilton, coming off a first year at Ferrari that fell a long way short of expectations.

The Briton struggled to find any real feeling with the SF-25 for much of the campaign, aside from a handful of isolated flashes of the class he has long been known for, while ultimately paying a heavy price in the head-to-head battle with his team-mate.

Despite that, Leclerc believes the Briton will bounce back next year under the new regulations.
