McLaren CEO Zak Brown has revealed how the team intends to navigate the emotional challenge of a potential title showdown between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

With both drivers locked in the fight for the 2025 World Championship, Brown says discussions will take place to ensure the team handles the moment with care.

"We'll just sit down and actually have a conversation and go ‘Right, one of you is going to win, it's going to be the best day of your life – one of you is going to lose, how do you want us to handle that?

"You want us to jump up and down and celebrate this guy [who] won?’,” Brown told The Race.

The American stressed the importance of sensitivity in celebrating the champion without alienating the other driver.

“We’re fully aware and sensitive to how you celebrate that situation… That’s the way we think. It comes back to thinking about our people.”

Brown said the approach will be decided collaboratively: “We have thought about it… and that'll just be a conversation we have with the drivers.

"‘How would you like us to conduct ourselves?’ Because we’ll be very considerate about that approach.”

As for the title fight itself, Brown believes it could be decided by consistency or pure chance.

“It’s going to come down to consistency of execution – or it could come down to luck of the draw: weather, safety car, or one guy gets wiped out by someone else on the track.”
