Lando Norris could lift the World Drivers' Championship trophy a day ago in Uzbekistan. The Briton completed his side of the bet with Zak Brown, so the ball is in the American's court.
Norris secured his first Formula 1 title at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The McLaren driver had to finish at least third last Sunday to claim the title, regardless of his rivals’ results.
The Briton did just that, and he won the championship by two points over Max Verstappen.

Talking to NBC News during the Miami Grand Prix earlier this year, Norris said that the bet with McLaren CEO Brown was still on. He commented at the time: "Me and Zak actually have a bet for when I win a drivers' championship. And it’s not a cheap something. So I’m doing my best to make sure that that comes true.
According to Norris, Brown has no way out of the bet. "It’s something we have video proof of, from several great guys. So it’s a bet that cannot be broken, that’s for sure. So I’m really going to do my best to make sure that he has to honour it."
In a radio interview, Norris also revealed what the bet is about. He said on Heart Radio: "I can't say it! It's my dream car since I was a kid but it's not a McLaren."
