Nyck de Vries will make his debut later this month in
Super Formula, which is the Japanese Formula class and is also known as the fastest Formula championship after
Formula 1. The Dutchman will drive in the final three races of the season in Motegi (25 August) and the doubleheader at the Fuji circuit (12-13 October).
De Vries joins Team Impul, where earlier in the season
McLaren junior Theo Pourchaire also briefly drove before. The Dutch driver competed in eleven races in
Formula 1 for AlphaTauri team in 2023.
De Vries will also be busy in other racing classes
Besides
Super Formula, De Vries is also still active in the World Endurance Championship (
WEC). He triumphed with his Toyota teammates at the six hours of
Imola in April.
