Oscar Piastri had to appear in front of the stewards after FP2 of the Azerbaijan GP. The McLaren driver now knows his verdict.
After suffering a mechanical failure in FP1, the Australian clipped the wall during FP2 and later ignored a yellow flag with 27 minutes remaining in the session.
On the other side of the McLaren garage, Lando Norris also endured a difficult Friday. The British driver topped the timesheets in FP1 but finished FP2 in the pit lane, after he hit the wall in Turn 4 and broke his suspension.
Piastri was summoned to the stewards after failing to slow under yellow flags at 16:33 local time (13:33 BST) — as Norris was returning to the pit lane.
The stewards decided to hand the Australian a reprimand.
