Sam Bird could only praise the four-time world champion after the 2025 Formula 1 season. In the end, Verstappen missed out on winning the title for the fifth time in a row by just two points.
He said on the BBC's Chequered Flag podcast: "I'm, as a driver, genuinely, completely in awe of his skill level. I don't think I've ever seen anybody this fast ever in Formula 1. He's so relentless. It's scary. It really is scary. If you give him the car, he's dominating."

After spending some time in New York City, Hamilton flew to Denver to watch his NFL team play at home for the first time.
The seven-time world champion's visit was not successful, as the Broncos lost to the Jaguars 34-20.
After the game, the Broncos co-owner as part of the Walter-Penner group sent a message to his team through social media: "Tough day today but I'm so proud of this team. Even on a hard day like today I'm inspired by how you all support one another and continue to show up. Remember it's not how we fall, it's how we get back up! Onto the next one!"
