Stefan Salzer has stepped down as director of Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technology, according to database of the British Chamber of Commerce, which GPblog reviewed.
Stefan Salzer is Global Head of HR at Red Bull GmbH and has been statutory director of the Austrian racing team, for which Max Verstappen drives, since August of this year. This happened after Christian Horner was dismissed by Red Bull after the British Grand Prix.
It was already clear then that Salzer would be an interim director. After all, someone had to hold the ultimate responsibility on paper. Laurent Mekies was then appointed director of both Red Bull companies. The Frenchman is also the director of Red Bull Powertrains.

On November 26, Stefan Salzer was officially relieved of his duties, making Mekies the sole director of the companies.
Stefan Salzer has worked for Red Bull GmbH for many years. He joined the company in 2007, after working for a while at the Austrian branch of oil company BP. The Austrian had no motorsport background before joining Red Bull Racing.
