Nico Rosberg has had his say on Max Verstappen's collision with George Russell that saw him get a ten-second time penalty. A safety car came out due to Kimi Antonelli's retirement, and when the race got back underway, Russell went for a move going into turn 1, meaning Verstappen was forced off the track and rejoined the track back in front.
Over the team radio, the Dutchman was then told to give the position back, but then the Red bull driver ended up turning into the Brit and colliding into him.
As a result, a ten-second penalty was given to Verstappen, meaning he dropped down the standings to P10.
Rosberg says Verstappen's conduct was "pretty bad"
"The first one was George's fault because he went in too hot, oversteered out and tapped Max, who then had to use the escape road. That's not the way to do the pass," Rosberg started by saying while commentating for Sky Sports.
"Red Bull messed up by saying let George pass. That really annoyed Max because he knew George had rammed him off.
"In Max's eyes, he's like 100 per cent in the right. 'Why are you telling me to do this? Watch this. I will show you what he did,' and then slowed down and rammed into him, which is even worse.
"To slow down and ram into another driver is pretty bad," concluded the 2016 world champion.
