Lewis Hamilton has not adjusted well to the SF-25 and his new team. The newest Ferrari driver has continuously struggled with his performance, which is something Carlos Sainz weighs in on. Hamilton replaced Sainz at the Scuderia, and now both are struggling to adapt to their new teams. Both Sainz and Hamilton are currently being outperformed by their teammates, Alex Albon and Charles Leclerc.
'I'm not suprised'
When asked if he was surprised that
Hamilton was still struggling, Sainz said,
"I'm not surprised at all. For me, I expected it to myself and I expected it with him because in this sport there is no secrets and when you are up against two teammates like we are, like Alex and Charles, they know the team inside out.”“They are already performing at the maximum that the car can perform. You can only do just a little bit better or the same as them. You cannot suddenly arrive and be two or three times quicker because it's not possible. They are already at the limit of the car.”
Leclerc has been at Ferrari since 2019, while Albon has only been at
Williams since 2022.

Sainz continued, “When you jump to a new team and you're expected by yourself and by everyone around you to be at that level, you know it's going to take time. There's no secrets, they know a lot more than you. That it's going to take a bit of time, and the sooner you make that process, the sooner you are at that level, the better, but for some drivers it might take longer or shorter.”
Regarding Hamilton’s performances, he added, “Lewis had an amazing weekend in China, then he seemed to be having a bit more trouble now, but it's going to take time for both.”
