Lewis Hamilton's first day of arriving in Maranello and finally wearing the famous
Ferrari suit took the world of
F1 by storm.
McLaren team principal
Andrea Stella also enjoyed Hamilton's arrival, but warned their rivals ahead of the upcoming 2025 season.
In the 2024 season,
McLaren managed to confirm their first constructors' championship in the 2000s at the
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Thanks to
Lando Norris winning ahead of
Charles Leclerc and
Carlos Sainz at the
Yas Marina Circuit,
Ferrari only finished second in the standings.
Andrea Stella did react positively to Hamilton's first days with the Scuderia.
"Observing from a distance I can say that I think the way it is, at least for how this has been reported, it was a great introduction, of Lewis to Ferrari. To be honest as a fan of Formula One, by having been 15 years at Ferrari before I felt excited myself," he told
Sky Sports.
Having previously worked for Ferrari himself, as the Italian left the team for McLaren after
Fernando Alonso did, Stella could only praise their presentation.
"To see something that is historic for Formula One, a seven-time world champion going to Ferrari, one of the most iconic teams. I think Ferrari and Hamilton handled this very well."Stella promises McLaren to be there
After many hard-fought battles between the two teams, as they also ended up overtaking
Red Bull Racing in the standings and ended up challenging each other for the constructors' title, the Italian could also only promise to make Hamilton's upcoming days less exciting.
"But ultimately I’m sure they know very well what counts is what’s happening on track. After the initial excitement I’m sure they will very much focus on making sure that the preparation is good and on our side we’ll try and make their life a little bit difficult."Want more
