After the conclusion of the FP2 session, the stewards had to come to a conclusion about a single matter in Monte-Carlo. They investigated an incident involving Oliver Bearman and here is their decision.
It was a chaotic FP2 session at the Monaco Grand Prix, with two red flags. The first one was caused by Isack Hadjar, who hit the wall in Turn 10, and the second one was caused by championship leader Oscar Piastri, after the Australian ended up in the wall in Turn 1.
Bearman was investigated for a red flag infringement, which was noted by the stewards after the McLaren driver's incident. The Haas driver overtook the Williams of Carlos Sainz under red flag conditions. He had to go to the stewards at 18:20 local time.
Bearman was told rather late about the red flag and just before he overtook the Spaniard, however, a light panel was clearly visible for him. For this, the Haas driver received a 10-place grid penalty by the stewards and two penalty points on his super license. He currently has four points in this regard in total.
