Arvid Lindblad will soon have another opportunity to put in miles in a Formula 1 car. The young Brit, recently granted a Super License, is set to test drive an older F1 vehicle once again, this time at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy.
The test is scheduled for next Monday. GPblog can confirm that it will happen with a Racing Bulls F1 car. In any case, this will be the second time the seventeen-year-old Brit races in an F1 car at this circuit, as he did earlier this year. That time he drove in the AT04, the AlphaTauri car of 2023.
The so-called Test of Previous Car (TPC) cannot be seen separate from the future plans Red Bull has for the youngster. The talent is viewed as a serious option for a seat at one of the Red Bull 2025. In any case, Lindblad is expected to participate in the VT1 session in the coming months, for Racing Bulls or even Red Bull Racing.
"I'm very thankful and very proud to be awarded the superlicense and to have the opportunity to participate in Formula 1 sessions. Whether that will happen or not, I don't know," said the Brit last Wednesday in a session with selected media, including GPblog.
Lindblad also talked to this website about the comparison with Max Verstappen. The Brit is widely regarded as the next supertalent from the Red Bull stable to make waves in Formula 1. Lindblad also responded to that comparison.
