The
F1 Academy is part of a Formula One weekend in the United States for the first time.
Lewis Hamilton visited the paddock of the new racing class.
Susie Wolff, F1 Academy director, hopes more drivers will pay attention to the women's racing class in the future, she told
ESPN.
The F1 Academy was started early this year after the
W series, the women's racing class that was part of the
Formula 1 calendar until 2022, had to stop. Several races have already been run in the new racing class, but this weekend the F1 Academy is part of the spectacle for the
United States Grand Prix.
Hamilton immediately showed his appreciation by visiting the women's class paddock.
Toto Wolff's wife hopes it won't stop there and that more drivers will come to take a look in the future: "
It's a little bit sad that it's always Lewis. He is always the one offering support, coming over. He knows what it's like to be the only one, and so he has an affinity."

Good for him. Appreciated.
"Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were there early to congratulate the new champion. Russell presented Garcia with the award on the podium and Hamilton also stopped by."
Leaving GR high and dry seems to be the "Wolff Way".
The only reason Lewis and George were there was because the champion is from Toto’s academy. That’s it.
For Suzie to throw shade at the other drivers just to big up herself, her husband, and their drivers, when she’s the Managing Director of the series, requires a special, bottomless kind of slime.
Shows just how toxically decadent the Wolffs are, the poison in F1’s veins.
At least Hamilton does other things.... Where's Verstappen? Sitting in his bedroom playing his PS5!
Good on him. Doesn’t pretend to be anything else.
Suzie was likely referring to more than just 1 event.
Meanwhile McLaren just very publicly signed Bianca Bustamante and dedicated a lot of exposure in her, while Ferrari signed their first female Driver Academy driver 2 years ago and promote her with every opportunity. Looks like trying to elevate themselves by attempting to reduce opponents is a family business for the Wolffs.
And this is the difference with Lewis. He cares and he's on the side of right, justice and good.
Good for him. Class act!
I got religious sect vibes from your post.
Really? That's a good one coming from the Verstappen fans on here!
Hehe. I was going to add a 'Hallelujah!' :)
