The new Mercedes out on track: the W17 captured in action

Mercedes hit the track for the first time at Silverstone today. The team also posted the first videos of the W17 on social media.

The German teams shared the first photos of the W17 today, also revealing the team's livery for the upcoming Formula 1 season.

Mercedes completed its shakedown today at the Silverstone Circuit. They are the fifth team to do so after Audi, Cadillac, Racing Bulls and Alpine.

Other teams, like Red Bull Racing and McLaren, forego completing a shakedown before the Barcelona test that is set to begin next week on Monday.

Mercedes shares new videos of its 2026 car on track

The videos show George Russell sitting behind the wheel. One of the posts was also partially filmed by CEO and team boss Toto Wolff.
