Arvid Lindblad was asked to build his ideal driver, selecting specific qualities that make a driver exceptional and naming the driver he associates with each trait. The Red Bull Racing talent often chose Max Verstappen, offering several flattering remarks about the Dutchman.
According to Lindblad, who is sometimes referred to as 'the new Verstappen', the current world champion in Formula 1 is the bravest on the track: “Max Verstappen. He sends it, full risk. He is just a pure racer, if he sees the gap, he sends it and nine times out of 10 he makes it happen,'' the British Swede told the Formula 2 website.
Besides choosing Verstappen for 'bravest racer', the 18-year-old also goes for Verstappen in terms of overtaking: ''What's so impressive about him is he creates an opportunity. Lots of times people will wait for something to happen and they will capitalize on it. He is really one guy that he will make a move that you didn't see coming, he will make the opportunity happen.''
In terms of control in the rain, Lindblad would go for Ayrton Senna. Charles Leclerc is the ideal racer for qualifying, according to the Red Bull junior.
In the end, Lindblad was asked if he wanted to add anything to his statements, and he did: “I would add defending. Again, I would say Max. He has no weaknesses that's what makes him so impressive.”
