For Formula 1's 75th anniversary, the F1 drivers had to complete a timeline of the sport's history on an episode of Grill the Grid. One common theme of the video was the drivers making fun of Fernando Alonso. Formula 1 offically became a sport in 1950, which is where the timeline starts during the game.

Lance Stroll joked about the Spaniard's age, saying,
"Alonso makes F1 debut, that's around the time Fangio won his fifth title, right?" Rookie
Kimi Antonelli also joked about Alonso's age, saying,
"I would say Alonso makes his debut" while putting him down by 1950.
A long-running joke surrounding Alonso is that he is a "forever rookie" on the Formula 1 grid. The joke started when he came back from his retirement. Earlier this year, the current rookies joked that Alonso was their favourite rookie on the grid.
Alonso joined F1 in 2001 while Fangio earned his fitfh title in 1957.
Drivers struggle with F1 history
During the episode, some drivers had a harder time than others. Lando Norris can be seen saying he has "no idea" while
Pierre Gasly chimes in with "this is tough". The gist of the game was for drivers to put 16 key F1 moments on the timeline. Most of the drivers struggled with the middle part, while almost all of them got the first one right; Juan Manuel Fangio wins his fifth title.
