Max Verstappen will not be attending the press conference ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix. His teammate Yuki Tsunoda is also not on the list. Red Bull Racing team boss Laurent Mekies was already present at the press conference in Belgium and will therefore not be there this weekend.
Verstappen and Tsunoda were also absent from the press conference on Thursday at Spa-Francorchamps. However, they attended the usual media moments. Mekies, who recently replaced the sacked Christian Horner, was present at the press conference for team representatives on Friday.
Next weekend it will be his successor's turn, Racing Bulls team boss Alan Permane. He will be joined on Friday by McLaren team boss Andrea Stella and Pirelli boss Mario Isola.
On Thursday, Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon and Oscar Piastri will attend the press conference for drivers. They will handle the first part. In the second part, Charles Leclerc, Lance Stroll and Liam Lawson will take the stage. Verstappen will, just like in Belgium, speak to the press in the Red Bull hospitality.
The Hungarian Grand Prix is the last F1 race before the summer break. After this, the drivers have a little over three weeks off, before they travel to Zandvoort for the - second to last - Dutch GP. It is expected that Red Bull, just like in Belgium, will come to Hungary with a number of updates. Helmut Marko previously indicated that these will be the last updates that Verstappen and teammate Yuki Tsunoda will receive this year, as the team is shifting its focus to 2026.
