With the most recent incident at the Spanish Grand Prix, Max Verstappen currently has 11 penalty points on his super license. When will these disappear from the Dutchman? After his incident with George Russell at the Spanish GP, where he collided with the British driver, the defending world champion received three penalty points together with a ten-second time penalty that relegated him to P10.
How do these penalty points work?
Or order to prevent drivers from consistently committing action that account to penalties, the
FIA announced a points system. Once a driver reaches 12 penalty points, they will receive a race suspension, and afterwards, all points will disappear.
When will Verstappen's penalty points expire?
As mentioned above,
Verstappen has 11 points in total, and is one away from a suspension. Furthermore, the Dutchman was investigated for the incident with Charles Leclerc after the Safety Car restart,
for which neither driver received a penalty.
The four-time world champion will have a bit of a breathing space after the Austrian Grand Prix, on 30 June, two penalty points will first disappear from his license.
Then, he will have to wait until 27 October, and only then another two points will come off. Immediately after on 1 November this year, another point will disappear.
Then, the Dutchman has to wait a month, and on 1 and 8 December, another three points in total will be off his license. The final three points will be removed a year from today.

In this moment in time, Verstappen has the mots penalty points to his name in F1 championship. Liam Lawson has the second most points in this regard with 6.
Recently, only a single driver has been suspended for this reason. During the previous season, Kevin Magnussen had to miss the Brazilian Grand Prix. He was replaced by Oliver Bearman.
