While Max Verstappen enjoys his vacation with his family, the Daily Mail shares a rumor. The Dutchman and his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, allegedly bought a piece of land in a luxurious project in Portugal.

The British tabloid reported that Verstappen and Piquet bought a piece of land in the luxury project Pinheirinho Comporta. Here, the couple plans to build a house.

The two have spent a lot of time in the Portuguese area. According to the medium, the Red Bull Racing driver's plane was recently spotted at the airport nearby, while the Dutchman and his family also celebrated their vacation here last year.

Pinheiringo is an estate located on the Portuguese coast near the town of Comporta. The place is known as a luxurious, relaxing coastal destination. The Pinheirinho estate has luxurious houses, a championship golf course, and a resort and spa.

Verstappen is currently on vacation. Whether this is in the Portuguese region, is not clear from the photos that Kelly Piquet posted on her Instagram. However, the most recent photo together shows they are on a boat on the water.

Verstappen enjoys holiday after disappointing GP Hungary

Last week, Verstappen was still in his RB21, racing in the Hungarian Grand Prix. However, the Dutchman did not get further than ninth place, after qualifying eighth. After the qualifying session, the Red Bull Racing driver even said that he does not expect that he can win another race after the summer break.

Verstappen is currently in third place in the world championship. The four-time world champion seems to be out of the running for now for a fifth title on the trot.

Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are far ahead of the Red Bull Racing driver. Meanwhile, George Russell came closer to Verstappen in Hungary, finishing the race in third place. This narrows the gap between the number three and the number four in the championship to just 15 points.
