It was stated on Sky what happened. The yellow band tires grained quickly but cleaned up again after a few laps and came back to life. Some decided to pit early thinking it would go to a 2 stopper to try to get the jump. Piastri failed due to a slow pitstop and then others gained a lot of time including Verstappen due to the VSC.01:32

They didnt. All the teams suffered the same. Piastri decided to pit earlier to get ahead on undercut which didnt work due to a slow pitstop. After a few more laps the yellow band tires cleaned up and came back to life for all those that stayed out.01:28

In the 80s, Honda only dominated the 87 and 88 seasons at the end of the Turbo era. The Turbo era was dominated primarily by BMW and Porsche.11-05-2025 20:47

They have dominated in every form of Motorsport they enter. They dominated F1 with Cosworth building their engines, they dominated Lemans multiple times. They didnt dominate in Group C because they pulled the plug on it just as the car was becoming properly competitive but they did have success in Group C in the earlier years before Porsche completely dominated. They had plenty of success in Rally, Nascar before it became a spec class and same with Indycar. They have had major success in Touring Cars in every continent. Would you like me to continue or do you see how little you actually know about Motorsport.11-05-2025 20:38

Any wonder GPBlog are looking for new editors. The current ones are far from exceptional.05-05-2025 15:49

The last time a WDC reacted like a spoilt brat at Ferrari, it ended very badly. Prost didn't even see out the year when he attacked the team. Hamilton is on shaky ground after his tea break snipe and sarcasm about letting Sainz through too.05-05-2025 14:14
