I have no idea if the allegations are founded or not, exaggerated or not. But this has gone on for so long now, that I think Horner is probably going to be dismissed. If the investigation had not uncovered some serious issues or credible suspicions, it would have been wrapped up well before today. The fact it has dragged on inconclusively for so long suggests there is indeed a problem, and there are heated disagreements inside Red Bull on what to do about it.27-02-2024 22:44

Albon would be a better driver than Tsunoda in the other Alpha Tauri. Tsunoda can be quick and can show flashes of brilliance occasionally, but his behaviour, attitude, and state of mind will always bring him down. His potential is limited.26-07-2022 21:03

This is really getting old. Everytime there is a little wheel rubbing, either RB or Mercedes cry murder. This is kindergarden or what?17-11-2021 03:14

I am a Max fan, but this time contrary to Silverstone where Lewis was to blame, I think Max is more at fault here. He tried the outside on turn 1 so that he could be on the inside at turn 2. Classic move, fair enough. But it didn't work because he couldn't get in front of Lewis. So that becomes Lewis' corner. Max has matured since he started in F1 in 2016, but one thing he'll need to learn is to sometimes back out to stay in a race and try again at the next lap or later. Crashing out of a race because you tried too hard is rarely an efficient approach in the long marathon that is World Championship.12-09-2021 22:56

The mess at Spa has finally put the lie to the "racing-under-rain-makes-F1-incredibly-exciting" concept. The reality is that F1 cars nowadays can barely race under rain if it exceeds a fair drizzle. They are simply not made to be run under anything else than fairly dry. Rain is obviously not a concern at all of F1 engineers, I mean even too strong winds disrupt the car. I don't know what's the solution, but F1 absolutely need to improve the ability to race under rain otherwise stop selling F1 as exciting when it's raining. I don't know what's the solution. Visibility is the biggest problem. Could some kind of mudflaps be fitted on F1 cars so they're not throwing out thousands of liters of water in the face of the following car? I'm pretty sure the collective minds of F1 engineers could come up with something but improving the ability to race under very rainy conditions should become a big priority.31-08-2021 19:04

I don't think the issue here is related to tyre pressure. The updated rear Pirellis aren't only stiffer because they're inflated at a higher pressure, they're stiffer because Pirelli revised and strengthened the inner structure of the tyre to prevent potential break of the inner wall of the tyre as it happened in Baku. That probably means that even at the same tyre pressure, the updated rears behave differently as the previous tyres did, hence maybe causing problems to RB and may explain Max complaining at Silverstone and Hungary of general balance issues that he didn't seem to have at the 2 Red Bull Ring GPs prior to Silverstone.12-08-2021 21:14

It's the contrary. The rule is there to a PREVENT a sham. You do realize that a team tampering with the chemicals in the fuel to extract more performance and possibly getting a victory because of it would make the sport a joke, right?03-08-2021 01:22

The rule is there to prevent teams from tampering with the fuel during the race by adding chemicals and other stuff to extract more performance. None of these teams is above cheating because of the money involved and pressure involved. So yes, you need to analyze it. Perhaps a liter is a little too much though, I'm not a chemist. In the 80s, F1 teams were running special qualifying fuel. almost like jet fuel (they even had special qualifying engines with turbo pressure boosted like crazy). It was madness and it hindered fair competition and reducing the impact of having talented drivers..03-08-2021 01:19

It's not correct that he was booed. I wouldn't have booed even though I'm a Max supporter. I don't want Hamilton to win another championship, I am f***g tired of seeing the same guy becoming World Champion year after year (I felt the same towards Schumacher, was just fed up with those 5 back-to-back championships in 2004). That being said, I do respect Hamilton, he's one of the great drivers in the history of F1 and would not boo him. I wouldn't clap for him either, I would just stay silent. Being polite is still a thing for me you know, and the world would be a better place if people would be more polite, even to those we dislike.01-08-2021 01:59
