George Russell will have to appear before the race stewards in Montreal following FP2 at the Canadian Grand Prix. Here’s explained why.
According to the document recently released by the race direction, the Mercedes driver, who topped the timesheets in FP2, has been summoned for an ''alleged breach of Article 12.2.1i of the International Sporting Code and noncompliance with the Race Director’s Event Note (item 17.3, document 04) – Escape Road Instructions Turn 14''.
The Briton is scheduled to appear at 6:50 PM local time to present his version of events before the stewards, who this weekend are represented by Gerd Ennser, Matthew Selley, Natalie Corsmit, and Marcel Demers.
