The McLaren F1 team have been disqualified from the Las Vegas GP due to a technical infringement, the FIA has confirmed.
Both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri's cars failed post-race scrutineering after their skid blocks were found to be below the required 9mm minimum thickness level.
The official FIA announcement comes minutes after McLaren boss Zak Brown informed journalists at the Las Vegas Street Circuit about the decision to disqualify both cars.
The disqualification has a significant impact on the world championship as Norris has lost the 18 points he received for his P2 finish, giving race winner Max Verstappen a 25-point swing in the title fight.

The Dutchman is now level with Piastri on 366 points as Norris' lead is cut to just 24 points.
McLaren's disqualification elevates George Russell to P2 and Kimi Antonelli to P3 in the final Las Vegas grand prix results.
McLaren's disqualification has blown the championship wide open as Verstappen jumps to within a race win of Norris.
| STANDINGS | DRIVER | POINTS |
