Historic Ferrari figure backs Hamilton
Jock Clear has recently thrown his support behind Lewis Hamilton despite the driver’s struggles at the Scuderia Ferrari outfit.
The British engineer, who recently weighed in on the performance of the seven-time world champion during his challenging campaign, referenced the difficulties Michael Schumacher faced in his initial years at the Italian team.
Clear also highlighted the case of Williams F1 Team driver Carlos Sainz, noting how the Spanish driver struggled to outperform teammate Alex Albon until the final stretch of the 2025 season.
Hamilton endured a forgettable season at Ferrari, failing to record any top-three finishes amid several underwhelming outings, particularly in the closing stages of the campaign.
Red Bull ambassador forced to deny bizarre social media rumour
While Clear has leapt to Hamilton’s defence, former Red Bull mechanic Calum Nicholas was forced to shut down a bizarre rumour that had been circulating on social media.
The Milton Keynes team’s ambassador revealed that he had received messages from several people who mistakenly believed he had died after seeing a post on Facebook. Upon becoming aware of the situation, he took it upon himself to set the record straight via his X profile.
