Christian Horner is reportedly in the sights of Cadillac, the American team that will join the Formula 1 grid from 2026. Should Cadillac indeed recruit the former team boss of Red Bull Racing for any role, it may create a potentially massive problem for themselves.
Ultimately, underwhelming sporting performance cost Christian Horner his position at Red Bull Racing. However, another factor was the huge unrest that arose after a female staff member accused Horner of overstepping boundaries in early 2024. This turmoil was eventually one reason for Adrian Newey to leave Red Bull.
After two internal investigations, Horner was exonerated from unacceptable behavior, but the impartiality of the investigators was contested by the party ruled against. The case is currently still simmering in the background, because only in mid-2026 will the British labor court determine whether a settlement should be paid to the female employee and if so, how high it is.
The former personal assistant of Horner is no longer employed by Red Bull Racing. GPblog can confirm that she has since found employment elsewhere, namely Cadillac. That happens to be the team that is reportedly interested in Horner.
The arrival of the Brit would therefore mean an extraordinarily spicy reunion, something Cadillac must surely be aware of. With this in mind, the rumor put into the world by a German medium takes on a different light, would Cadillac really bring in Horner when the person who started all the trouble at Red Bull also works for the American racing team?
In any case, it's hard to imagine Cadillac joining forces with Horner in the near future, as already explained by GPblog here.
